Digital Images for Education

Digital Images for Education was a 20-month project to provide the UK education community with relevant high-resolution images that can be downloaded and used for project work.

Now the project is complete: a total of 56,950 still images and 570 hours of moving-image footage have been supplied by the eleven source collections, checked by external evaluators, and loaded to a holding database. During 2011 the images will be uploaded to a new platform being built by EDINA, the JISC eCollections Mediahub. This will contain several other collections in addition to the Digital Images for Education images. Mediahub is scheduled to launch in August 2011.
