ONIX: NCRI Oncology Information Exchange

The NCRI ONcology Information eXchange (ONIX) is a free-to-use portal that connects many of the main public sources of cancer research data. ONIX allows users to run searches simultaneously against multiple, selected resources, such as:

  • biomedical databases
  • research publications
  • data analysis tools
  • new research technologies
  • projects developing community standards to facilitate information sharing and re-use.
  •

ONIX also holds a searchable catalogue of cancer-relevant resources which allows users to find new information and collaborative opportunities. The main searchers are freely available, however by registering for free you are also able to save and re-run searches, and access a community of scientists to built collaborative working relationships.
