Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) online

The Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) is a comprehensive, high-quality and freely accessible resource of protein sequence and functional information. It is a collaboration between the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI), the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB) and the Protein Information Resource (PIR).

UniProt consists of UniProtKB, the protein knowledgebase; UniRef, sequence clusters; and UniParc, sequence archive. Supporting data includes: literature citations, taxonomy, keywords, list of experts, and much more.
